About
Randy and I tried to design our blog around who we really are. There won’t be any images/video of us trying to be someone else or heavily photoshopped, high-fashion profile pictures. Trust me, we’re not trendy in the slightest. BUT what is shown here will revolve around what means the most to us, art and family. We spend our life focusing on those two things and we strive for clients to feel like they’re a part of our family. We currently are only accepting travel weddings outside of the Nashville, TN area, destination weddings and local lifestyle sessions (maternity, newborn, child and family sessions). Only accepting a limited number of travel weddings a month allows us the freedom to shoot in new areas around the globe while still spending time with our babes. We are open to capture all expressions of love, including non-traditional unions and commitment ceremonies. Feel free to send us a note using the info in our “contact” tab!
On the blog you’ll find big images, soothing colors and these characters:
Kate: My ridiculous self, what you see is what you get. More on that below.
Randy (R): My darling husband, who has been my best friend since we met on a blind date 7 years ago. Software developer/organic lover by day and karate champ/ordained reverend by night.

Little Man (LM): My adopted son, who is a calm, loving soul. He’s a dancing fool and a kind heart.
Peanut or Baby Girl (BG): My spirited daughter, who lives to entertain. She’s the provider of laughter and kisses in our home.
Summit/Summie-soozle: Our 1-year-old miniature Australian Shepherd
Darby/Darby Doo: Our 10-year-old Springer Spaniel
You can read more about our family by choosing the “Shut up about the…” category where I babble on about my loves.

A few random facts about me…
Every day, I:
~Crave adventure.
~Try to cook and then usually order out or beg my husband to make something.
~Browse Tripadvisor, Yelp or Marriott for travel ideas. I’m sort of a Marriott whore.
~Have fun with my children.
~Could eat macaroni & cheese or pizza.
~Dance (this is not an exaggeration, I’m a dancing fool like my son).
~Spend time trying to become an amazing writer.
~Realize I am terrible at the above item. My run on sentences, horrible grammar and overuse of parentheses will never = an amazing writer (and I’m okay with that).
~Dream of the beach.
~Attempt to make people laugh with me (which typically turns into them laughing AT me).
~Capture video or images of my family.
~Worry about something.
~Scold myself for worrying…and then worry about that.
~Tell my husband and kids that I love them.
~Cuss like a sailor (which I hide from my kids & clients). My grandfather was a sailor and I blame it on him. =)
~Would prefer to spend my time in ripped jeans, t-shirt and bare feet. Flip flops if shoes are a must. I really should move to the beach. Don’t worry, I’ll come appropriately dressed to your wedding.
~Give thanks for my life.
