Andrea Hallgren is a fabulous portrait photographer in Nashville but it’s quite possible that she’ll never talk to me again after the way I manhandled her family this week. I tossed them into alleys and quite possibly a urine puddle or two (I needed a serious shower when I got home) while we walked around downtown Nashville for their family portrait session. Here’s a quick peek at their images!


These kids kept me laughing the entire session. Miles even brought a gas mask to the session…because, you know, what family portrait session is complete without some apocalyptic gear?

Summer has such a free and innocent feel to it, especially summer in the south. Bebe and I wandered back into the woods to find a creek perfect for her summer/6 year session.





I can’t believe this sweet girl, who I’ve shot for the past 4-ish years, is headed to school already. How time flies!

I spent 3 hours in the blazing heat with this beautiful family and Heather & Ray almost decided not to do their Forever Session because it was so warm. I’m so thankful that they did because I adore the images. Here’s a quick look at their time with me:

I want to crawl inside Jack’s world and live for a while. He has such a wonderful existence full of adventure, natural care and love.
And he has better hair than I do. I want to be him.

Harper is one of those souls who are full of spirit and ornery tendencies…it takes one to know one. I’ve taken pictures of her from the day that she was born and this week it was time for her 18 month session. I can’t believe how fast time passes!

This week I’m wrapping up all of my fall sessions and trying to get everything out the door before Christmas. I love that clients use my images to represent their year as a family!

A few more quick previews from recent fall sessions! I’ve been wrapping up Christmas orders and gearing up for 3 weddings in December, so forgive my lack of blog posts lately. =)

My beautiful friend, Anna, is on the search for a child to love. They asked me to capture images of their family, for their adoption packet that perspective mothers will view. It is such a blessing to be asked to have your work represent the essence of a family unit.
