I walked down the isle to a Ben Harper song called “Forever”. And, honestly, I had no idea what marriage was about or what forever really meant. I knew TGR was the nicest person that I’d ever met, we knew we loved each other and for the rest of our future we were running on faith. So often I hear people saying that aside from wedding and engagement shots they don’t have many pictures together. We’ve spent a good deal of our relationship trying to keep up with images of our love, aside from being parents. I only have three pictures of my parents together and I cherish those so much.
With that note, I’m excited to announce my Forever Sessions. These are casual, relaxed sessions for married or committed couples. Sessions include edited files on CD, online showcase and a small album of images. During the next few weeks I’ll be sharing some of these sessions that I’ve captured for couples. Interested in displaying your love? Send me an email to: katecrafton@gmail.com for more information. No styled outfits or life milestone needed. I just want you to be yourself and be schmoopy.
Add us on Facebook for client sneak peeks!
“Not talkin’ ’bout a year, no not three or four
I don’t want that kind of forever in my life anymore…
So give me your forever, please your forever
Not a day less will do from you”
~ Ben Harper

Just a quick post to let everyone know that I will be officially back from maternity leave as of April 10th. I am currently scheduling sessions (and weddings for 2011/2012) and will only be taking a limited amount of bookings for the remainder of the year. I’m excited to start shooting again soon but right now I’m drinking in these moments with my little man. We’re so in love!

For quite a while, I’ve been meaning to set up a referral program. The majority of my business has always come from brides/grooms and portrait clients telling others about how much they loved their images. I am SO appreciative for all of you that have done so. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Now that I have a few minutes to breathe, I wanted to implement a new referral program. Below are the details and once a new client books, with you as the mentioned referral, I will contact you to redeem your thank you present!
For past clients: When you refer a 2011/2012 couple that books a wedding with us, you will receive a wrapped canvas (16×20) of your choice of image from your wedding or (past or future) session. If you refer a 2011 family/couple for a portrait session, you will receive an 11×14 print of your choice. Families or couples must mention that you referred them prior to booking. I am booking Nashville, TN area weddings for 2011 but will be back to shooting most weddings outside of the Nashville area in 2012.
Thanks again!

Hello friends!
Sorry things have been quiet around here, I’ve been dealing with lovely pregnancy sickness and catching up on editing. Just to keep you all updated of what will be happening in the upcoming months, here’s some information to keep in mind. I will be shooting sessions until the Christmas cut off date, take December off (with the exception of weddings and sessions already scheduled) and then shoot sessions for 2 weeks in January. After that time I’ll be going on maternity leave and will be shooting a VERY small number of sessions until May, when my wedding season begins. I’ll be accepting a few local (Nashville area) weddings for 2011 but on a very limited basis. Feel free to send an inquiry about your 2011 Nashville area wedding for open dates and pricing. Then, for the 2012 season, I will go back to shooting destination and travel weddings.
Below are the dates to keep in mind:
November 22 – Christmas cut off. All sessions must take place before this date to be back in time for Christmas.
January 18th – Last day for portrait sessions. After this time I will officially be on maternity leave and won’t be accepting any more bookings.
May 22nd – End of maternity leave. I will be accepting weddings and sessions for dates after this point…including Nashville weddings.
Turn around time – Current editing & delivery time is 4 weeks for lifestyle sessions and 10 weeks for weddings.
I’ll leave you with a few images from a recent session. I loved this family and it made me SO excited to have a new little one of our own!

For those that weren’t attached to the news channels all weekend, our sweet Nashville was hit hard with storms and serious flooding. Hundreds of people are without their homes and need help, so we’re interrupting this work day post to mention a few resources where you can help out:
Hands On Nashville
Red Cross
If you’re a Nashville area vendor and want to help out our community:

Makes me sad that one of my favorite shooting locations is completely underwater….

We’ll be helping out locally until roads clear up and we can reach my in laws in Leiper’s Fork. Thankfully they don’t have any serious home damage but they’re unable to reach the road because the floods ripped the bridge from their driveway and they have extensive property damage.
Much love to those in our community, our prayers go out to you.
