Forever – Angela & Will

Thursday, June 16, 2011      Posted in: Forever Sessions

When Angela sent me an email about setting up a Forever session for her and her love, the email title was “The schmoopiest couple you’ll ever meet”. They certainly lived up to that promise. I loved watching these two laugh and interact together!

Forever – Molly & John

Tuesday, June 14, 2011      Posted in: Forever Sessions

I had the pleasure of stealing Molly & John away from their normal, every day lives for some time alone to slow down and, well, just be schmoopy. I adore seeing people love on each other with minimal input from me.

Adventure

Thursday, June 9, 2011      Posted in: Kids & Family

I want to crawl inside Jack’s world and live for a while. He has such a wonderful existence full of adventure, natural care and love.
And he has better hair than I do. I want to be him. ;)

Spirit

Harper is one of those souls who are full of spirit and ornery tendencies…it takes one to know one. ;) I’ve taken pictures of her from the day that she was born and this week it was time for her 18 month session. I can’t believe how fast time passes!

Forever – Couples Sessions

Tuesday, May 24, 2011      Posted in: News and availability

I walked down the isle to a Ben Harper song called “Forever”. And, honestly, I had no idea what marriage was about or what forever really meant. I knew TGR was the nicest person that I’d ever met, we knew we loved each other and for the rest of our future we were running on faith. So often I hear people saying that aside from wedding and engagement shots they don’t have many pictures together. We’ve spent a good deal of our relationship trying to keep up with images of our love, aside from being parents. I only have three pictures of my parents together and I cherish those so much.

With that note, I’m excited to announce my Forever Sessions. These are casual, relaxed sessions for married or committed couples. Sessions include edited files on CD, online showcase and a small album of images. During the next few weeks I’ll be sharing some of these sessions that I’ve captured for couples. Interested in displaying your love? Send me an email to: katecrafton@gmail.com for more information. No styled outfits or life milestone needed. I just want you to be yourself and be schmoopy. ;) Add us on Facebook for client sneak peeks!

“Not talkin’ ’bout a year, no not three or four
I don’t want that kind of forever in my life anymore…
So give me your forever, please your forever
Not a day less will do from you”
~ Ben Harper

Nashville Maternity Photography

Our dear friends, Eric & Shay, are expecting their first babe this month and we’re so excited for them! I temporarily came off of maternity leave to squeeze in Shay’s session before her little man showed up. Our boys will only be a few weeks apart in age!

Just a quick post to let everyone know that I will be officially back from maternity leave as of April 10th. I am currently scheduling sessions (and weddings for 2011/2012) and will only be taking a limited amount of bookings for the remainder of the year. I’m excited to start shooting again soon but right now I’m drinking in these moments with my little man. We’re so in love!

Hello, my love.

Saturday, March 5, 2011      Posted in: Craftonia

Hello, my love.
You’re here.
You’re perfect.

I stare at your handsome little face, totally in love, and remember crying for months on end because I thought this day would not come. The fertility issues. Bad news, some hopeful news and then the surprise that brought us here. It reminds me of the Looney Tunes episode where Wile E. Coyote finally catches the Road-Runner. After years and years of frantically pursuing a dream (or, in the coyote’s case, a tasty snack) you finally catch up with the idea of what you’ve always wanted…and then hold up a “Now what do I do?” sign.
I’m at a loss of where to go from here,
Other than to just snuggle and breathe you in.

I am so thankful that I was able to be pregnant again.
I am so thankful that you are in my arms
…and healthy.

For now, the world is perfect.
Happy birthday Griff.
I love you.
